Business Analyst Role

The role of a Business Analyst involves applying expertise to support the analysis, design, and implementation of changes related to enterprise agreements or other wage and condition adjustments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Extracting actionable insights from complex datasets through data mining techniques
  • Clarifying business needs, required data, and desired outcomes
  • Analysing data and assessing impacts, including salary, shifts, and penalty rates
  • Providing reporting on key people metrics to inform planning and strategy
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on priorities, effort, risks, and implementation costs
  • Identifying and escalating issues and risks for resolution
  • Managing stakeholder expectations aligned with deliverables

To be successful in this role, you will need to thrive in a dynamic environment, consistently identifying risks and opportunities, and translating business needs into clear, measurable outcomes.

Required qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Analysis or related field
  • 3+ years' proven experience as a Business Analyst in commercial or tech environments
  • Skilled in business case development and financial/cost modelling
  • Strong background in business analysis practices
  • Advanced Excel-based analytical capabilities
  • Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation and enterprise agreement processes
