About the Role

The Maintenance Asset Controller is responsible for the on-going maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) within the scope of the Airbus maintenance organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement GSE and S&TE maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure equipment is available to support the aircraft maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain and update Airbus GSE and S&TE records and provide status reports to maintenance management teams and DASR Responsible Managers as required.
  • Perform periodic stocktakes of GSE and S&TE.
  • Perform and/or coordinate scheduled maintenance of Airbus GSE and S&TE, including procurement and disposal as required to support these activities.
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships to ensure timely and effective provision of maintenance and calibration services.
  • Coordinate on-site vendor access to support C-J maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate waste management.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is able to work well in a team environment, have well-developed relationship-building skills, as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work to deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

Requirements
  • Class 'C' Open Driver's Licence.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Tools, including Microsoft Access and spreadsheets, with the ability to write technical reports.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical compliance requirements in the aviation maintenance environment.
  • Have (or be able to develop) an understanding of the interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain in a logistics environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to GSE and S&TE to maintain agreed serviceability rates.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
