About the Role

The Maintenance Asset Controller is responsible for the on-going maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) within the scope of the Airbus maintenance organisation.

Reporting to the Team Lead Warehouse & Material Management and with guidance and support from S&TE – GSE Technical Lead, you will be responsible to:

  • Plan and implement GSE and S&TE maintenance and calibration schedule to ensure equipment is available to support the aircraft maintenance schedule
  • Maintain and update Airbus GSE and ST&E records and provide status reports to maintenance management team and DASR Responsible Manager as required
  • Perform periodic stocktake of GSE and S&TE
  • Perform and/or coordinate scheduled maintenance of Airbus GSE and S&TE including procurement and disposal as required to support these activities
  • Maintain an effective vendor relationship to ensure timely and effective provision of maintenance and calibration services
  • Coordinate on-site vendor access to support C-J maintenance activities
  • Coordinate waste management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who is able to work well in a team environment, have well-developed relationship building skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work to deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

The skills and experience best suited to this role include:

  • Class 'C' Open Drivers Licence
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Tools including Microsoft Access and spreadsheets with the ability to write technical reports
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical compliance requirements in the aviation maintenance environment
  • Have (or be able to develop) an understanding of the interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain in a logistics environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to GSE and S&TE to maintain agreed serviceability rates
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
