Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Watchhouse Officer.

  • This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining law and order in the community and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform watchhouse functions related to administration, supervision, and monitoring of persons in custody and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate records of prisoner files and Watchhouse activities.
  • Operate and monitor electronic surveillance and movement control systems.
  • Assist in the processing of persons received into custody, including preparing and maintaining health requirements and medical needs.
  • Supervise and provide for the welfare, comfort, and security of prisoners.
Requirements:
  • Possession of an Open C Class Drivers Licence is mandatory.
  • This position requires wearing an Assistant Watchhouse Officer uniform and adherence to the code of dress and appearance.
  • This position requires working a shift work rotational roster, 24-hour, 7-day roster.
