About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and adults with disabilities to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity to perform daily living activities.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address participants' needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists, to provide holistic support to participants.
  • Participate in professional development and receive regular supervision to ensure best practice and ongoing learning.
  • Engage in group supervision and disability-specific workshops to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children and adults with disabilities, particularly in a paediatric setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
