Perioperative Nurse Specialist

This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgery. As a member of the perioperative team, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their surgical journey.

About the Role

You will work closely with an anaesthetist to provide safe and holistic care to individuals and their families. Your expertise will ensure positive and safe patient outcomes by implementing best clinical practice and maintaining a safe environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative care that prioritizes patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with an anaesthetist to ensure effective surgical outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Current AHPRA practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse
  • Australian Working Rights - No Sponsorships available
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a perioperative setting
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster - with active participation in an on-call roster
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced dynamic setting
