Establish and implement a comprehensive strategic framework for Shellharbour City, leading a team of professionals in planning and environment. This senior leadership role will drive high-profile planning and design initiatives to ensure growth and investment in infrastructure, creating a better future for the region.

The Role
  • Develop and implement Council's long-term land use planning framework and environmental management programs, ensuring sustainable growth and development that meets current and future community needs.
  • Manage reports and submissions to Council, oversee policy, compliance, and budget items across the group.

This role is part of Council's Senior Leadership Team and will play a key role in shaping the city's future through strategic planning and environmental stewardship.

You will be a passionate leader who can work collaboratively with the CEO and other members of the Executive Leadership team to integrate strategic and operational planning activities across the business.

With high-level communication skills, you will form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors, the community, industry, and Government.

You possess relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive industry experience to champion environmental outcomes that meet community expectations.
