Job Title: Financial Leasing Specialist

Our organization is expanding rapidly and we are seeking a skilled Financial Leasing Specialist to manage and maintain financial aspects of commercial leasing arrangements.

  • Support the Management Accounting team in completing an accurate and timely month-end close to facilitate informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain budgeting and financial policies for operations and leases to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including landlords, boards and shareholders.
  • Analyze financial data, conduct audits related to leases, investments and risks.
  • Verify lease terms, rent reviews, options, outgoings and charges to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage tax filings and provide advice on tax planning and compliance.
  • Examine venue operating costs against lease provisions for validity and compliance.
  • Ensure financial statements and reconciliations meet organizational and statutory standards.
  • Support strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Requirements:

  • Experience with lease administration software (preference given to Lease Eagle).
  • Ability to review leases and extract critical landlord/tenant responsibilities.
  • Experience in reviewing operating expenses and ad hoc charges.
  • Reconciliation skills and ability to resolve finance queries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Desire to grow with the organization.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High motivation, resilience, honesty and integrity, with the ability to work in a team.

Education and Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Studying towards CA or CPA is preferred.

Salary negotiation: $70k-$90k depending on experience.
