Job Summary
We are seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will provide expert information and education to clients requiring mental health, social and emotional well-being care, and their families.
You will promote social and emotional well-being, early detection of mental illness, activities for prevention of self-harm, suicide, and upliftment of self-esteem.
In addition, you will promote excellence in clinical standards and quality of care and work closely with the broader Primary Health Care (PHC) team to integrate and coordinate prevention and care for best outcomes for the client.
The position requires travel to all Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation communities on a regular basis.
About the Role
- Provide expert information and education to clients requiring mental health, social and emotional well-being care, and their families.
- Promote social and emotional well-being, early detection of mental illness, activities for prevention of self-harm, suicide, and upliftment of self-esteem.
- Promote excellence in clinical standards and quality of care and works closely with the broader Primary Health Care (PHC) team to integrate and coordinate prevention and care for best outcomes for the client.
- The position is a region-wide clinical outreach position and requires travel to all Sunrise Health Service Aboriginal Corporation communities on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification and minimum 3 years' experience in Mental Health and/or the Social and Emotional Well-being field.
- Registered with relevant regulatory body as a practicing Mental Health Professional.
- Mental Health First Aid.
- Willingness to travel by light plane or on dirt roads.
- Current Driver's License, WWCC, National Police Check.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of $93,280 – $111,862 per annum.
- Relocation assistance available through NT PHN.
- Eligible for professional development grants through NT PHN.
