Job Opportunity: Senior Staff Specialist in Cardiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Specialist to join our Cardiology Service.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity to provide specialist care across the care continuum, utilizing your expertise in non-invasive cardiology services, including Echocardiography, Stress Imaging, Cardiac Computed Tomography, Heart Failure Services, Cardiac Rehabilitation Services, and Chest Pain Assessment Services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic and procedural services for patients with suspected or established cardiac conditions, as well as experience in multidisciplinary team settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care through diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiac conditions
  • Conduct echocardiography and other imaging procedures to assess cardiac function
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Specialist Cardiologist (or equivalent)
  • Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging subspecialty training with accreditation in Level 2 Adult Echocardiography as per CSANZ requirements (or equivalent)
  • Evidence of active participation in a Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD)
  • Demonstrate clinical and academic research skills and experience
