About the Role

Aussie Broadband is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high availability and performance of our network, providing an unrivalled digitally connected experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage network and security processes to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to our customers.
  • Identify and treat problems both proactively and reactively, ensuring our network remains secure and resilient.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure requests are actioned within set targets, and provide excellent customer support.
  • Contribute to the development of technical knowledge documents and processes, ensuring our team remains up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Over 3 years' technical networking experience, preferably within an ISP or large Enterprise.
  • Good understanding of networking protocols, including IPv4 and IPv6, CG-NAT, MPLS, IPSEC, Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, EVPN, VRF, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS.
  • Experience with Cisco ASR9k routers, Cisco NCS routers, Juniper routers, EVPN, EIGRP, Fortinet firewalls, Fortinet CG-NAT and Corero DDoS Protection.
  • Experience with network monitoring and ITSM systems and tools, such as LogicMonitor.
  • Relevant vendor certifications, e.g., Cisco CCNA, Juniper JCNA, Fortinet NSE, ITIL 4, Network Security certs.
