Early Childhood Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at a co-educational Jewish Day School in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and is looking for a maternity cover ECT/Room Lead for one of their locations.

About the Role:

We are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to work in a co-educational Jewish Day school, with some excellent benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing authentic connections with our children and families, developing and implementing education programs, and documenting children's learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nurture relationships with children and families through building strong trusted relationships.
  • Develop and implement education programs that support children's independence, resilience, and social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Prepare and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for individual children and groups.
  • Document children's learning through observations and assessments in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Requirements:

  • ACECQA approved qualification; i.e., Bachelor of Early Childhood and Education or equivalent.
  • NESA Teacher registration.
  • Deep understanding of early learning pedagogy and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework including National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Current first aid qualifications including asthma, anaphylaxis, and CPR.
  • A valid Working with Children Check.
