UGL's national business unit for new energy is rapidly growing.
The UGL New Energy Team seeks an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to join their energy team.
About the Position:
- This is an excellent office-based opportunity with visits to all project sites.
The Senior Environmental Advisor supports bid and project delivery of New Energy projects nationally, following environmental management systems to minimize risks and maximize opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support environmental planning by developing and implementing management plans, procedures, and tools aligned with company systems.
- Oversee daily environmental tasks based on project risk levels to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Provide technical advice and assist with securing environmental approvals during bids and project phases.
- Promote environmental awareness and build capability across project teams through guidance and collaboration.
- Coordinate monitoring and reporting, including sustainability metrics, site inspections, and incident investigations.
- Engage with stakeholders such as project teams, subcontractors, and clients to maintain strong environmental standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in construction or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and approval processes.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Proactively look to continuously improve performance, deliverables, and work efficiencies.
