Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Waste Collection Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, collecting and disposing of waste in a safe and efficient manner.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of our waste collection and disposal service, working closely with a supportive supervisor and leadership team to provide friendly and professional customer service to our residents and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck driving and waste services, with experience operating heavy-rigid vehicles and related plant and machinery. You will also possess excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to safety.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will be required to meet the physical demands of the job, which include lifting, bending, and working in all weather conditions.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience operating heavy-duty vehicles and equipment
  • A valid HR license (or higher)
  • A strong background in waste services and customer service

  • Able to lift, bend and work in all weather conditions
