Job Title: Waste Service Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced waste service operator to join our team. As a waste service operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a quality waste collection and disposal service.

Your primary responsibilities will include operating various plant and vehicles, maintaining daily logs, and performing routine maintenance tasks. You will also be responsible for collecting and maintaining mobile garbage bins, collecting verge-side green waste, and repairing and assembling bins.

To be successful in this role, you will require a HR truck license, experience in the waste industry, and solid history of operating heavy-rigid vehicles/trucks. Proven experience in map-reading and navigation skills, traffic management, and ability to work in a team environment is also highly regarded.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of "HR-A" license
  • Experience in the waste industry with a solid history of operating heavy-rigid vehicles/trucks
  • Proven experience in operating other waste collection vehicles and associated plant and machinery
  • Strong map-reading and navigation skills
  • Traffic Management Ticket and Traffic Management experience highly regarded
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks in a safe manner in all weather conditions
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
