Shelter Team Lead

This role involves overseeing the shelter facility, promoting responsible pet ownership and implementing effective adoption strategies.
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team and contribute to a clean and sanitary environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven ability to supervise a team effectively
- Well-developed customer service skills
- Excellent monitoring and reporting skills
- Experience working with companion animals and stock
- Competency in IT skills, including report preparation and process improvement
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-pressure workforce
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a full employment medical check.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Promoting community awareness of animal welfare
- Developing and implementing effective adoption programs
- Leading a team in a fast-paced environment
- Monitoring and reporting on shelter operations
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in animal management and welfare
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare
