Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Plant Administrator to provide administrative support to our plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the team, including diary management, communications, reporting, records management, procurement, accounts, and purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Register and oversee incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
- Prepare relevant documentation, including formatting and record keeping
- Maintain an effective filing and archiving system
- Plant Maintenance
- Plan and coordinate a plant maintenance planning system to improve plant reliability
- Maintain the maintenance program using a database
- Order and maintain onsite stock of various stationery and parts required
- Procurement and Accounts
- Price checking, purchase order creation, delivery confirmation, and invoice approval
- Support to Plant Engineers and Foreman
- Assist in day-to-day running activities
Requirements
- Relevant word processing and secretarial qualifications and/or training
- Ideal but not compulsory minimum 5 years experience in Administration
- Construction work environment desirable
- Advanced Microsoft Skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with confidence, but tactful
- Strong level written and verbal communication
