Job Opportunity

A transport and logistics business is seeking a motivated Freight Coordinator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, drivers, and booking staff through face-to-face, phone, and email communication.
  • Plan and dispatch trucks for metro, interstate, import/export, and oversize freight.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Process and monitor customer bookings while providing updates on shipments in and out.
  • Assign vehicles, manage fleet utilization, and maintain Chain of Responsibility standards.
  • Match the right vehicle to the specific requirements of each job.
  • Accurately complete documentation and system updates within required timeframes.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of warehouse and distribution activities as part of a team.
Requirements
  • Willingness to build knowledge and expand skills.
  • A collaborative team member who takes responsibility and delivers on commitments.
  • Experience in identifying and resolving stock variances.
  • Service-oriented with a positive approachable manner.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Precise and efficient in data entry with strong attention to accuracy.
  • Effective communicator with solid problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Highly organized proactive and able to work independently.
