About the Role

The successful applicant will be a mature-minded individual who can work collaboratively, ensuring the smooth running of our residential program.

Our Residential Support Worker works within our model of care, focusing on providing high-quality support and treatment for clients. Duties include ad hoc psychosocial support, supervision of medication self-administration, supporting the residential timetable, and ensuring appointments are met, all while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide ad hoc psychosocial support to clients
  • Supervise medication self-administration
  • Support the residential timetable and ensure appointments are met
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality support and treatment for clients
Selection Criteria:
  • Relevant VET qualification or equivalent or working towards
  • Understanding of or experience with supporting persons with alcohol and other drugs support needs, mental health support needs, and/or co-existing support needs
  • Understanding and/or experience of Therapeutic Community Model of Care
  • Demonstrable experience working within a residential or similarly complex program or facility
  • Experience working within a non-government AOD treatment program including particularly experience working within the Therapeutic Community model
  • Experience with group facilitation
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment to deliver coordinated support
  • Computer literacy including understanding of MS Office Suite and use of Client Management Systems
  • Understanding of the principles of the Privacy Act and its practical implementation in service delivery
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implement the principles of WHS
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance
  • Unlimited right to live and work in Australia
