Employment Specialist

The Employment Coach is a key position within Workskil Australia Ltd, responsible for the case management of an allocated caseload of up to 80 customers with a prior offender history. The primary objective is to find them employment, with a focus on improving their capacity to work by stabilising non-vocational issues and building vocational skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake case management with a focus on improving customers' capacity to work
- Stabilise non-vocational issues and build vocational skills and experience
- Undertake 'reverse marketing' of customers to suitable employers
- Run group-based job search sessions to motivate and promote further job placements
- Meet individual targets and contribute to a strong site team
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a passion and drive for helping people find employment, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of customers, employers, and staff. You will also need to be able to assess, match, and refer customers to appropriate job opportunities and advocate directly to employers.
You will be required to have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development, and experience in Employment Services or a related Service industry. A strong focus on generating suitable vacancies and job referrals to place customers into is also essential.
