About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Orderly to join our preoperative team at Norwest Private Hospital. As a Theatre Orderly, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre, providing safe and effective patient handling and positioning, and maintaining a safe patient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre
  • Provide safe and effective patient handling and positioning
  • Setting up of theatre
  • Maintaining a safe patient environment, including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures
  • Providing support to the nursing staff
Requirements
  • Theatre Orderly experience within the healthcare industry (desirable)
  • Working with Children check
  • Police Check
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, Monday to Friday
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
