Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Earthmoving division in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified individual with extensive plant experience to work independently in the field, providing safe and efficient diagnostic, maintenance, and component replacement services to our customer base.

About the Role

This role involves mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnosis on heavy machinery, as well as routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements. You will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical and instrumentation systems and components, completing service reports, and expanding and maintaining customer relationships in the field. Additionally, you will adhere to safety guidelines in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical Diagnosis on Heavy Machinery
  • Major and Minor Services
  • Inspect and Test Electrical and Instrumentation Systems and Components
  • Routine Maintenance, Repairs, and Component Replacements
  • Complete Service Reports
  • Expand and Maintain Customer Relationships in the Field
  • Adhere to Safety Guidelines in the Workplace

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Trade Qualification - Diesel/Mobile Plant Mechanic or Equivalent with at Least 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Extensive Plant Experience
  • Flexibility to Travel and Work Over-Time as Required
  • Capability of Working Independently in the Field, Problem-Solving in Various Situations
  • Ability to Fault Find and Rectify Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Electrical Issues
  • A Current Driver's Licence
  • Forklift, W, T, R, and Air Conditioning Ticket Advantageous

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 to $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
