About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. The Compliance Officer will play a crucial part in maintaining our organization's reputation by adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Regulatory Standards: Assist with monitoring and interpreting changes in applicable regulations, assess their impact on the business, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Compliance Reviews: Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to licensee's general obligations and internal policies, including reviewing client files and adviser communications.
  • Breaches and Incidents: Maintain records of breaches, incidents, and complaints, monitor for patterns, and identify root cause issues or opportunities for education and training uplift.
  • Guidance and Training: Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters, including reviewing marketing material and advice practices.
  • Regulatory Filings and Reports: Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and reports.
Requirements
  • Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
  • Qualifications: Relevant degree or certification in compliance or a related field.
