Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Principal to join our team at Department for Education, Children and Young People TAS. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in the educational leadership, management, and administration of our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management, and administration of the school.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality education to students.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve educational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement, and develop strategies to improve outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
  • Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005.
  • Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
  • Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
