Job Description:

As a seasoned leader in building services, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the built environment of tomorrow. You will be responsible for leading the technical design on electrical services, including design management, for medium to large multi-disciplinary projects.

Delivering best practice and outcomes for clients is crucial in this role. This involves saving costs and time while ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

You will also be responsible for managing a small team of Electrical Engineers and Drafters, providing mentorship and guidance to help them grow in their careers.

A key aspect of this role is communication. You will need to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders, as well as project teams, to ensure seamless collaboration and project delivery.

In addition, you will be required to build solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities.

Representing and promoting the business with local and regional markets is also an essential part of this role.

About You:
  • Hold a recognized tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing electrical systems.
  • Coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Mechanical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
  • Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities.
  • Working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards; local NT experience is an advantage.
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capable project and people leader – train and mentor junior engineers, with effective communication at all levels.
  • Knowledge of project finance and commercial aspects is an advantage.
