Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Staff Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing technical change across the organisation, leveraging a wide range of technologies in an Agile environment.

This position is part of the Core Banking team and focuses on leading and improving technical solutions while transitioning to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work collaboratively with other team members to solve analytical problems and drive technical initiatives forward.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and REST API integration.
  • A strong understanding of Cloud technology, preferably AWS, is required.
  • You will also be responsible for designing, documenting, and implementing solutions to distribute source system data via bulk interfaces.
  • Additionally, you will produce high-quality technical solutions that are sustainable by utilizing approved delivery frameworks and industry best practices.
  • You will contribute to complex delivery planning by providing guidance and oversight to ensure technical deliveries are aligned with engineering direction and strategy.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in large and complex enterprise environments, preferably in banking and financial services or similar large enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently and drive a culture where quality, excellence, and openness are championed.
  • Strong Core Banking domain experience is highly desirable.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Mainframe, PL1, DB2, and knowledge of various modern technologies including mainframe modernisation.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps tooling and practices.
  • Any experience with AI & Machine learning is an advantage.
