The position of Dietitian is available in our Food Services Team at the Queensland Children's Hospital.

As a full-time role, you will lead a small team of Menu Monitors to ensure patients receive optimal nutritional care by meeting dietary requirements.

This includes:

  • Promoting hospital menus that meet nutrition standards and diet specifications
  • Cordinating student placements and supporting their development
  • Conducting regular audits and monthly reporting
  • Reviewing menus and communicating changes made

We seek an individual with:

  • A strong background in dietetics, preferably with accredited practising dietitian qualifications
  • Experience working within a hospital setting
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Main Responsibilities:

• Promote paediatric hospital menus that adhere to nutrition standards and diet specifications

• Coordinate student placements and support their professional development

• Conduct regular audits and prepare monthly reports

• Review menus and communicate any necessary changes

Requirements:

• A degree in dietetics or a related field

• Experience working in a hospital environment

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
