Senior Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Nutrition Specialist to provide comprehensive nutrition services to our patients. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work closely with individuals to assess their nutritional needs, develop personalized meal plans, and educate them on healthy eating habits.

Job Description:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs, taking into account their medical history, dietary preferences, and lifestyle factors.
  • Meal Planning: Develop customized meal plans and dietary recommendations that align with patients' specific health goals, medical conditions, and cultural considerations.
  • Nutritional Counselling: Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to patients, offering guidance on making healthier food choices, managing weight, and addressing specific dietary concerns.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients on the importance of proper nutrition and its impact on overall health. Provide ongoing support, motivation, and accountability to help patients adhere to their dietary plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations, assessments, and progress. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop integrated treatment plans that address patients' holistic needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mandatory Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
  • Previous experience working as a Clinical Dietician is highly desirable.
