Job Description:

This is a contract role within the Federal Government. The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to embed effective test automation technologies, practices and execution across a suite of new leading-edge strategic technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience building and executing automated test regimes as part of a DevOps team using CI/CD methodologies.

Key responsibilities include automating testing of Salesforce solutions, working within a Scrum team to establish and integrate test automation within the Scrum workflow and build processes, collaborating with the Test Manager and driving quality and efficiency.

Evaluate, recommend and drive test automation technology selection and strategy, including framework selection and coding language.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience building and executing automated test regimes as part of a DevOps team using CI/CD methodologies.
  • Hands-on proficiency with UI functional automation using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver and BDD frameworks like Cucumber; experience with CI tools like Jenkins, Bamboo; building automation test pipelines.
  • Testing REST API using Postman, testing Salesforce and MuleSoft based solutions; writing automation scripts for REST API tests.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computing Science or Mathematics or another relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a test automation role.
