Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Leader to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to inpatients admitted under the general medicine service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished professional to take on a leadership role, work effectively within a dynamic team, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bed Allocation Processes: Participate in bed allocation processes to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal patient flow.
  • Patient Care: Provide specialist consultation and manage transfer of care according to patient need and hospital requirements.
  • Outpatient Services: Offer specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services.
  • After-Hours Services: Participate in after-hours services and rosters in general medicine at Calvary Mater Newcastle.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues to ensure a high standard of patient care that conforms to best practice and is evidence-based.
