About the Role

The Marine Maintenance Manager is a key position in the SeaLink NT leadership team, responsible for maintaining the vessels and company assets to the highest standard to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Scheduling and Troubleshooting: Maintain vessel maintenance schedules, troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify engineering issues throughout the fleet.
  2. Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure ferries and equipment comply with all legislation and standards.
  3. Cost Management: Manage costs in line with budget.
  4. Marine Crew Development: Provide guidance and training to the onboard Marine crew.

A key outcome of this role is to ensure we continue to offer reliable on-time running aboard the highest quality vessels to our customers.

About You

As this is a key leadership position, you will be self-motivated and results-driven, and have a high level of interpersonal skills, business sense, fleet maintenance experience, and project management capabilities to ensure success.

Desirable Skills and Experience
  1. Maintenance Planning and Budgeting: Maintenance planning and budgeting experience.
  2. Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience.
  3. Marine Vessel Machinery Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge and experience with marine vessel machinery, especially marine diesel engines.
  4. Hydraulics, Electrical, and Air Conditioning Systems: Basic knowledge and experience with hydraulics, electrical, and air conditioning systems highly regarded.
  5. CMMS Knowledge: Knowledge of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems).
  6. Marine Engineer Driver 1 or Above: Marine Engineer Driver 1 or above.
  7. Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation: Senior First Aid/Advanced Resuscitation.
  8. Open Driver's License: Open Driver's License (essential).
