Disability Inclusion Facilitator

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a program that equips Australian school-aged students with an understanding of living life with a disability, and gives them a strong appreciation of social inclusion from an early age.

The program, Just Like You, works in partnership with a children's charity to provide workshops to school-aged students (Years 1-7) in Newcastle and surrounding areas. As a facilitator, you will deliver world-class workshops and build successful relationships with schools to ensure continued partnerships.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To deliver high-quality workshops on disability inclusion to school-aged students.
  • To maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders.
  • To achieve key performance indicators related to workshop quality and evaluation feedback.
  • To act as a brand ambassador for the program.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of living with a disability, including sharing personal experience.
  • Prior experience in presenting, teaching, educating or performing is desirable.
  • Ability to engage, inspire and motivate audiences through face-to-face and digital mediums.
  • Capacity to quickly learn and retain content for presentations.
