About the Role:

Dementia and Aged Care Services (DACS) is a leading provider of community care services in NSW, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families. Our mission is to support clients to remain at home and engaged in their local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social support, personal care, medication support, meal preparation, and light domestic assistance to our local clients within their own home.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Utilize a restorative and wellness approach to enable older people to remain at home and engaged with their community.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for and previous experience with supporting elderly people and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
  • High level of time management and the ability to work autonomously, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability between daytime work around 20 hours across at least three days (Monday to Friday) and flexibility to take occasional fill-in shifts.
  • A minimum Cert III qualification in Aged Care/Community Care/Individual Support (or equivalent qualifications), and a current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • A current Open Drivers Licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • A National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
