Job Title: Senior Civil Estimator

  • Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to lead our civil construction projects in Australia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating and tendering, with excellent communication and project management skills.

About the Role:

  • Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers to develop construction methodologies and non-price submission information;
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects and present for management review;
  • Develop draft construction programs in consultation with P6 Planner;
  • Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors;
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction or similar;
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating civil construction and earthworks from first principles (3+ years);
  • Experience tendering government work for agencies such as TfNSW, WaterNSW, up to the values of $100m - $200m;
  • Knowledge of concrete construction and remediation;
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 / Tier 2 construction contractor; and,
  • A proven record of success is essential.
