Lead Environmental Manager for Strategic Water Initiatives

We seek an accomplished Executive Manager, Planning and Delivery, to spearhead the planning and execution of environmental water entitlements in Victoria. As part of our collaborative culture, you will lead a team responsible for prioritizing use, carryover, and trade of environmental water.

The successful candidate will drive innovative processes to optimize environmental water management, while fostering strong relationships with partner organizations and key stakeholders. This role requires leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and knowledge of environmental water management in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and delivery team to manage environmental water entitlements
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for prioritizing use, carryover, and trade of environmental water
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations and key stakeholders
  • Participate in state-wide and interjurisdictional forums to negotiate and collaborate on environmental watering program outcomes

Essential Qualifications:

  • Understanding of water entitlements and environmental flows in Victoria
  • Knowledge of environmental water delivery, including multi-jurisdictional arrangements in the southern Murray-Darling Basin
