Job Title:

Echo Quality Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to serve as a Quality Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring that our echo program operates at the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with new hire orientation, student precepting, department education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to sonographers, evaluating their performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sonographer orientation/training program.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to enhance the quality of the echo program through lecture development, valve clinic review, and record maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to ICAEL standards and facilitate recertification processes.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Possession of current RDCS, RDMS, or RCS credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, provide feedback respectfully, and build trusting relationships with patients, caregivers, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills.
