About the Role

Feros Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Local Area Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting people with disability to access and navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans that support people with disability to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Provide guidance and support to people with disability to build capacity and explore options for self-direction, self-management, and self-advocacy.
  • Connect people with disability and their families with mainstream services and community resources to promote participation and inclusion.
  • Build and maintain positive partnerships with community organizations and government agencies to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for empowering people with disability and a commitment to person-centered practice.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability, allied health, or community services, or lived experience with disability or caring for someone with disability.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including people with disability, families, and community organizations.
  • IT literacy and proficiency in CRM and Microsoft suite.
