Job Title: Specialist Consultant - Manufacturing

Bosch is a leading global supplier of technology and services, and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Specialist Consultant - Manufacturing. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton, with occasional domestic and interstate travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and consultancy services to external clients on manufacturing strategy and planning, simultaneous engineering, Value Stream Design, process evaluation and optimisation, Lean Line Design, logistics concepts, problem solving and root cause analysis, Lean Production Systems, and Industry 4.0 knowledge.
  • Identify and develop consultancy projects for external clients, collaborating with industry partners to understand manufacturing challenges and requirements.
  • Conduct workshops and training in Bosch Production System processes, including Design for Manufacture and Assembly, Value Stream Design, and Lean Line Design, with report writing.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and supporting resources from within BAMS, Bosch globally, and external resources as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the BAMS Business Development team to identify and build relationships with manufacturing clients and strategic partners.
  • Develop templates and processes for use by the consultancy team, and maintain consulting documentation.
  • Provide general support in building the consulting business within BAMS.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience in Manufacturing, with the ability to apply across any industry.
  • Knowledge or experience in applying Bosch Production Systems or similar, including Lean principles, Design for Manufacture and Assembly, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and digital transformation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Basic skills in plant simulation and CAD creation are desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Presentation and report writing skills.
  • Coaching and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
