We are seeking a Consumer Communications Lead to develop and implement strategic communication plans that engage and inform consumers, investors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of experience in communications, media, or public relations, with a strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and content creation.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver impactful external communications campaigns that promote ASIC's consumer-focused priorities and build brand awareness.
  • Manage media activities and proactive opportunities to secure media coverage and achieve strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, agencies, and stakeholders to drive integrated campaigns and deliver results.
  • Oversee campaign budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery and maximize ROI.
About the Role:

As a Consumer Communications Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping national conversations through creative, strategic, and purpose-driven external communications for ASIC's Moneysmart program. You will be front and centre working in a team to drive proactive external communications to reach and engage consumers and investors and help ensure Moneysmart is a leading, independent financial source of information for Australians.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, media, public relations, or a related discipline, with 6–8 years of experience in communications, media, or PR (including digital and social media). You will have demonstrated success leading and executing external communication strategies from concept to delivery – ideally for a consumer brand, government department, or financial services organisation.
