About the West Gate Tunnel Project

The West Gate Tunnel Project is a city-shaping initiative that will provide a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, improving road safety and reducing congestion. As a key partner, we are responsible for ensuring the project's compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and issuing permits, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and issue permits to ensure timely processing and compliance with procedures;
  • Audit all facets of the PTW system to ensure adherence to safety standards;
  • Facilitate and coordinate project construction PTW requirements through liaison with supervisors and subcontractors;
  • Regularly audit and ensure information and procedures are adequate for isolations;
  • Participate in the development of third-party interface agreements to ensure safe execution of workloads;
  • Monitor material availability and coordinate task scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Highly regarded applicants with previous electrical or mechanical commissioning experience;
  • 5+ years of experience in Permit to Work in construction and/or heavy industry, with a strong background in high-risk workplaces;
  • Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety;
  • Trade qualification in a related industry (preferred);
  • Experience in construction on major projects;
  • Experience in participating in high-level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties;
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures and compliance codes.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Melbourne, Australia.
