Infrastructure Permit Coordinator

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Ground Penetration Permit (GPP) Coordinator to join their team on the Suburban Rail Loop Early and Initial Works Project.
This role offers an opportunity to work on a privately-owned Tier 1 constructor and International Engineering Enterprise, contributing to a city-shaping project.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a similar role on infrastructure or rail projects and a demonstrable commitment to project safety.
A high level of interpersonal and written skills is required, as well as excellent communication with stakeholders, engineers, and supervisors.
This position involves reviewing submitted GPPs, conducting site walks, identifying utility assets, and liaising with stakeholders for compliance.
A key responsibility is administering the Ground Penetration Permit process on site, working closely with engineers and supervisors in charge of work groups.
The ideal candidate will be able to audit the implementation of the GPP process for compliance, ensuring newly installed utilities are correctly recorded daily.
This role also involves coordinating and reviewing scopes of work, directing personnel accordingly, and achieving project objectives.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum depending on experience.
About the Role- Reviewing submitted Ground Penetration Permits (GPP's)
- Conducting site walks with relevant personnel
- Liaison with stakeholders (e.g. USP's) to ensure compliance to their standards
- Ensuring that newly installed utilities are correctly recorded daily and updated on all GPP's in use
- Administering of the Ground Penetration Permit process on site
- Auditing of the implementation of the GPP process (field and desktop) for compliance
- Liaising with the project management team to achieve project objectives
