Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Mackay due to business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, analysis, and project delivery, with experience working on critical projects and managing client relationships. They will also possess advanced knowledge of structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7, as well as a sound understanding of construction projects and durability engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake structural design including computer-based analysis of mining/marine/transport infrastructure structures with concrete and steelwork;
  • Work on critical projects with a focus on safety and quality;
  • Act as client contact for specific projects;
  • Conduct condition assessments, audits, and surveys;
  • Liaise with staff members in other offices;
  • Other tasks allocated by senior staff.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering;
  • 8 years' industry experience;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in using structural analysis software packages such as SpaceGas and Strand7;
  • Solid knowledge and experience in structural design, analysis, client/stakeholder management, and project delivery;
  • Understanding and/or experience on major construction projects;
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
  • Residing in Australia with unrestricted working rights;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English to a professional level;
  • Experience in working with marine, mobile machines, bulk materials handling or shafts/tunnel assets;
  • Solid knowledge or experience with Cathodic Protection design and durability engineering.
