Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lending Attorney to become a vital part of our esteemed legal team. This role is available for both full-time and part-time candidates who possess the right qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal counsel on complex regulatory issues affecting Business Lending and Private Wealth.
  • Strategic Contributions: Enhance the operational performance of the Legal function by proposing innovative ideas and initiatives, and developing comprehensive 'house views' for knowledge sharing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal business partners to address legal matters while fostering and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of ongoing enhancement and inspire an environment that encourages innovative and creative thinking.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of post-admission experience, holding an unrestricted Australian practicing certificate.
  • A proven track record of high performance within the legal sector.
  • Extensive experience in financial services, whether in a large corporate setting or private practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory responsibilities related to Business Lending and Private Wealth.
  • Strong understanding of key trends and drivers within the financial services industry.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.
  • Robust commercial acumen.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
