Job Opportunity: Senior Communications Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Communications Advisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and delivering effective communication strategies that engage diverse audiences and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans that drive business outcomes and support key infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create compelling content that turns complex technical information into accessible and engaging messages for the public.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, councils, community groups, and local businesses to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Design and deliver a range of content, including media releases, newsletters, and social media campaigns, that resonate with diverse audiences and promote the organization's vision and goals.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, engagement, or public relations, preferably in a government or infrastructure environment.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, backed by sound judgment and political awareness.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse groups.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt quickly when priorities shift.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline are desirable.
