The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Maintaining the quality of output produced by the engineering and drafting team to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
  • Ensuring technical solutions comply with design review processes and design quality requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance, providing input and feedback as necessary.
  • Cultivating and mentoring junior engineers and draftspersons through practical guidance and support.
  • Providing technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and other business development activities.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering or a design delivery role.
  • Proven experience in rail and wider civil projects, with relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering.
  • Member of Engineers Australia with Chartered Status (CPEng) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage client interactions effectively.
  • Attention to detail, knowledge of engineering designs and calculations, and experience in design and project management.
