About New Porgera Gold Mine

The mine employs nearly 3,000 locals and has contributed significantly to the country's annual exports.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer – Underground to join our Underground Mine Engineering Services team.

This opportunity supervises the Underground Production Engineering team to achieve short & medium term mine plans in partnership with the underground operations team.

This includes providing daily plans and tracking reports to assist them to deliver safely to target.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Developing practical extraction plans

2. Optimising ore extraction

3. Monitoring performance by collecting and analysing data to assess performance, statutory compliance, and system efficiencies.

About You

You will be a natural self-starter who will bring initiative and ideas to your team.

You must demonstrate agility and an ability to work effectively under pressure, understand and meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have tertiary qualifications in mining engineering supported with significant experience (minimum five years as a Senior Engineer) in underground mine production planning engineering.

You will lead the team in line with policies and standards whilst measuring and monitoring the functions performance, establishing and delivering to world-class practices.
