Job Title: Equestrian Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equestrian Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff in the management of horses, ensuring the highest standards of care and welfare.
  • Ride 8-10 horses per morning, with a focus on pace and timed work, as well as jump outs.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification and at least 2 years' experience in horse training and management.
  • Excellent horsemanship skills, including the ability to train and educate young horses.
  • Knowledge of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and the safe operation of equipment.

Desirable Qualification:

  • Certificate III or equivalent international qualification.
