Compliance Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team. As a Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our food products meet regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with buying teams to ensure compliance with regulatory services and activities, adhering to company policies and Australian/New Zealand legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to inform decision-making by buyers and management teams.
  • Ensure imported products meet Australian and New Zealand standards: Claim, Regulatory, Food safety.
  • Determine import requirements for a range of food items and manage packaging and labeling approvals.
  • Work with external testing laboratories to ensure Australian standards are met.
  • Oversee services provided by external compliance review providers.
  • Develop new company policies and procedures and launch global initiatives.
  • Coordinate product testing and schedules.
  • Manage code of conduct audit programs and vendor assurance programs.
  • Co-ordinate recall and withdrawal programs and activities.
  • Conduct internal training and education on product safety, import requirements, and product regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a regulatory, compliance, or quality assurance position in retail or manufacturing.
  • Sound understanding of the Australian and New Zealand regulatory landscape - State, Federal, and Local.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, adaptable, and flexible, willing to learn, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Advanced skills in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
