About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Collections Banking Officer to join our finance team at Opal HealthCare.

This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity that will enable you to leverage your expertise in debtor processes, negotiation, and customer relationship management to drive results.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing debt collection activities with residents, team members, and other support functions
  • Negotiating payment plans and agreements
  • Providing excellent written and oral communication skills to ensure effective resolution of customer issues
  • Prioritizing tasks efficiently and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Assisting in the implementation of process improvements and efficiency opportunities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in similar roles, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Diploma in Accounting essential, with Bachelor's degree qualifications in business or finance-related disciplines desirable
  • Proven track record of successful management of banking functions, including credit control
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills and ability to work effectively with various software applications
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment is an advantage
