Job Role:

A directorate of policy and planning is responsible for guiding strategic initiatives in urban development. The position oversees the management of public urban forests to support liveable cities and natural environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies, projects, and programs related to urban forest management.
  • Lead teams in delivering actions and outcomes outlined in strategic plans.
  • Supervise, manage, and motivate staff to achieve team goals.
  • Analyse data, assess tree-related claims, and provide technical advice on tree-related matters.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Possession of a driver's license Class C (Car) is essential.
Position Details:
  • Classification: Senior Officer Grade B
  • Directorate: City and Environment
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
  • The successful candidate will be required to work in a temporary position from mid-October until the end of February with the possibility of extension up to six months.
